News Basically #6 (Version R0.4)


So, I need to apologize because it turns out I forgot that the lore requires another character to be added. Wwwwwhhhoooopsie! Turns out you're getting 5 characters this coming update. Who's the 5th? I say NOTHING (because they're unlockable).

Now, the good news! Mega Man's done.

For some reason, he has strong non-projectile attacks, sub-par projectiles, the worst recovery in the game, the wildest wavedash, and Za Warudo. Yes, we gave him a time stop super. He was the most logical character we could give one to, and hell yeah am I giving a character a time stop super in my game. His move set is purely based on Mega Man 1-6, so he has some new moves to replace the ones that didn't fit that criteria. Also, he has Cargo Throw. Super Arm is a Mega Man ability, after all. He also has Magnetic Shockwave! Yeah, from MvC1 on the PS1, remember? No? Dang, ok, guess I'm isolated in that regard. His new Up Special, Wire from Mega Man 4, is the worst recovery in the game, because heck nah is it gonna latch on to anything if your opponent doesn't try to edge guard (which, if your opponent has 2+ brain cells, they will realize they do not have to do).

Some changes I've made aside from the addition of Mega Man is that Copy X can now be altered in spawning position somewhat (it is a very slight change). I also made the background freeze when you pause the game, which looked off before the change. Also, I found a bug. It wasn't easily viewable (in fact, I don't think it was possible to see) in the currently public version due to how hit stun works in that version. In the new version I'm working on though, assists could be forever getting hit on a hitbox from stage gimmicks. I have now fixed it. WHOOPEE (it took 2 hours and that was definitely not something I wanted to do on my day off)!

I'll be working on that 5th character, and then it'll finally be time to work on CPUs. I swear.
